Effective from May 2008, the cities of Amsterdam and Amstelveen and the IND have launched a joint initiative called Pilot Project Expatcenter Amsterdam Area. As of 5 January 2009 Rotterdam joined this initiative.

Digital Labour Migration Desk for Employers
Employers wishing to take on a foreign employee can now submit a combined application for a Provisional residence permit and a Work permit with the IND and UWV WERKbedrijf on www.arbeidsmigratie.nl.
